Easy Beef and Vegetable Soup
 
 
1/2 lb   ground beef, lean  
1/2 Bag   frozen mixed vegetables (carrot cubes, green beans, and broccoli, etc.)  
1/4 cup   barley  
32 oz   can beef broth  
2 medium   tomatoes, seeded, and roughly chopped  
1 tsp   garlic powder, paprika, oregano  
 
In a medium saucepan brown ground beef. Drain off excess fat over paper towels; place meat back in pan.
Add frozen vegetables, barley, broth, tomatoes and spices.
Season with salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil over high heat and then allow to simmer covered for at least 30 minutes.
